Part One Part Two Part Three Part Four Part Five

I'll Never Not Need You

As the arena lights went up, and screaming girls started to go out, backstage the lads and I were changing into our robes, ready for the journey back to the hotel.
As we got into the minibus, I felt a little light-headed but it passed&ldots;all I wanted was a warm bath and a good night sleep.. I was so exhausted, both physically and mentally.

When we got to the hotel, I forgot about all my trouble, as waiting in the lobby, was Eilidh. I couldn't believe my eyes. I wasn't expecting her to just pop over from New Zealand without me knowing. Obviously Ronan knew as he was organising something at the reception.
"Eilidh, what a big surprise!" I said, running into her arms.
"I know, I spoke to Ronan, and he told me that you weren't yourself, and he knew how much you liked me, and here I am." She said. It felt so good to hug her again, to hold her in my arms was a dream come true..

It seemed Eilidh would be sharing my room. I did not mind that one bit. Then the light-headedness came back, and I fainted...
After what seems like only seconds to me, I came to, I was lying on a couch in the reception area.
"What happened?" I said.
"Nix, you fainted about 10-15 mins ago. You just seemed to collapse." Ronan said, with a worried look.
"All, I can remember is feeling very light-headed, and everything going black." I replied.
I started to sit up, my head hurt, so I just lay on the couch.
"The paramedics are on their way&ldots;" said the helpful receptionist&ldots;

5 mins later, the paramedics arrived. They couldn't see anything wrong with me, except maybe exhaustion. They left, not before saying to Ronan that I needed a few days rest&ldots;
"Nicky, how's the head?" asked Eilidh.
"It's still hurts a little!" I replied.
"Do you think you can stand?" she asked.
I sat up slowly, then with the help of Eilidh, I managed to stand up, though I needed help to stay standing..
It took both Eilidh and Ronan to help me get to the lift and to my room&ldots;Ronan then left, not before helping me into bed..
"Nicky, its important you rest&ldots;" Ronan said, before going out of the room, with Eilidh. I was curious to what they were talking about, but I couldn't keep my eyes open, so I fell asleep..
I didn't even hear Eilidh come back in, nor did I feel her soft, gentle kiss goodnight&ldots;I was fast asleep&ldots;.

The next morning, when I woke up. I felt a little better, but not completely&ldots; The first thing I noticed was Eilidh, smiling back at me, she was dressed, and just sitting on the bed..
"Morning Nix, sleep well?" she said.
"Yeah, I did!" I said.
"I'm not surprised, when I came back in last night, you were out like a light&ldots;"
"So what were you and Ronan talking about?"
"About you Nicky, and how you need rest&ldots;so Ronan has been arranging a holiday for you.."
"A holiday for me? By myself?" I said, sitting up..
"No, for the two of us, he thinks that a few days away from the band, will do you good.." She said, putting the kettle on&ldots;
"Oh, but where are we going?" I said.
"I suggested Vila, which is about 1½ hours flight from Sydney. Its in Vanuatu." She said, handing me a cup of tea.
"But what are we supposed to do there?" I said.
"Relax, you can swim, snorkel&ldots;it's a place to relax&ldots;"She said, sitting back on the bed beside me..
"So Ronan is organising it? when do we leave?" I said, as there was a knock on the door.
Eilidh went to answer it.
I could hear her greeting Ronan, as Ronan came into view, he had things with him.
"Hey Nicky, I suppose Eilidh has told you the news. Well, here are all the tickets, accommodation stuff. Your flight leaves at Midday, which is under 3 hours away&ldots;I'll be back in an hour to go with you to the airport. I've written a list of things you need to take&ldots;"
"Ronan, I don't know what to say. Do the other lads know?"
"Yep, I explained it to them about 15 mins ago. They all agreed with me, that you need a break." Ronan said.
"Thanks, I better get up then.."
Ronan said goodbye and left the room. I got up without any help, and had a quick shower, and got dressed.
I then packed all the stuff I'd need for the 3 days..
An hour later, Ronan came back, we were ready&ldots;
Soon we were on our way to the airport, not before checking we had the tickets, money and our passports&ldots;

We checked in, and soon Eilidh and I were in the air, flying towards Vanuatu&ldots;&ldots;
