It was a nice night, as we walked to the apartments after saying good-bye to the others... We got to my apartment, and went in, Nicky went and sat on the couch, while I put the kettle on&ldots;
I made the tea, and brought it over to the couch&ldots;
"This is so much better, than the bar!" Nicky said, taking his tea.
"Just you and me, alone in the flat&ldots;damn I should really stop watching ‘chums’ " I said, sitting on the couch.
"God, I bet you only watch the Westlife ones!"
"Well, they are the only ones I get sent!!!"
"The ones with us in it, are the best anyway!"
"Hmmm, I agree," I said, snuggling up to Nicky.
"Yeah, but I think this is much better cos there’s no Ant, Dec or Cat to ruin the moment&ldots;
There was a loud knock on the door&ldots;
"Damn, ya spoke to soon&ldots;" I said, playfully hitting him as I got up off the couch to answer the door.
It was Mark, looking very tearful.
"Mark, what’s wrong?" I said, letting him in
"It’s&ldots;.Shane&ldots;" he said.
"Mark, what happened??" said Nicky, looking slightly worried&ldots;
"Him and Tash just got engaged, I fooled ya didn’t I?" Mark said, with a giggle.
"Mark, I’m gonna kill ya, you had us worried&ldots;" Nicky said, grabbing Mark by the neck..
"Sorry, they’re back in the bar, celebrating, they asked me to get you guys to help celebrate&ldots;"
"What ya say Eil, shall we? Or is there something else ya rather be doing?" Nicky said, smiling.
"Why not? There’s plenty of time for that later&ldots;" I said, giggling&ldots;
So it was back to the bar.
"Well, Shane and Tash, I must say that this was totally unexpected but I’m happy for you both&ldots;" Nicky said.
"Who knows Nix, you might be next!!" Shane said, being sarcastic!
"Shane, you never know!!!" I said, laughing. Nicky wasn’t laughing.
"Eilidh, Will you marry me?" Nicky said.
It took me a moment to realise that Nicky was down on one knee, holding a small box.
"Nicky, Yes!" I said.
"This calls for more celebrating!!!" yelled Bryan&ldots;
I felt like I was floating on air, it all seemed too unreal, only minutes ago, I was Nicky’s girlfriend and now I was soon to be his wife&ldots; I sat back, sipped my champagne and thought about the future. I could see Gillian sitting there alone, on the other side of the room, looking in our direction. I looked away in disgust. I was so glad she wasn’t marrying Shane, as Shane deserves to be happy and Natasha did that for him&ldots;
And I had my new life to look forward to&ldots;a life with Nicky&ldots;
