Part 4 - Final part

Six months later&ldots;&ldots;

The day dawns like a perfect spring day, the aroma of the spring flowers fill the air with romance, happiness and love.

Shane stares over the countryside, from the hill behind his new house, the one where him and Gillian will live in.

He had gone out for one of his early morning treks, to settle the nerves. He could see the church where he would be married, getting a polish by the church members, and even though it was only 7am, he could see the little house where Gillian's family lived, and how the house look quiet, and full.

Shane rode gently back down the track, and put Gypsy Rose back into the stables.

"Morning Shane, how are you feeling today?"

"Fine, thanks Liam, it's a glorious day!"

"Nicky arrived this morning, he's in the kitchen."

It was only fitting that Nicky would be my best man, after all his help with the business and things. And Gillian had Eilidh as her bridesmaid, he didn't really know the full story about why she chose Eilidh, but he guessed that some thing's are better left unknown. Shane don't know whether to laugh or cry, as when he walked into his kitchen, Nicky is standing there, watching Mam cook breakfast.

"Nicky,"

"Shane, hope you don't mind, but I had strict instructions to come to you, as Eilidh and Charlotte were heading to Gillian's this morning with the dress and stuff, and I thought I'd come and bring you breakfast."

"You brought my mam?"

"Shane, you know you can't afford to go without breakfast on your big day, and it's the most important meal of the day." Mae said, smiling.

Shane couldn't wish for anything else that moment, but maybe those threatening clouds in the horizon that look dark and threatening to go away.

"Shane, this came from the Egan's. I don't know what you want to do with it, but I think you should at least read the letter." Mae said, pointing to a parcel.

Shane took the letter, and sat down.

'Dear Shane and Gillian,

Sadly I won't be able to make the wedding due to personal reasons, but I hope that in your hearts you'll forgive me for being horrible to you, especially you Shane.  I feel horrible about everything that has happened and I want to make it up to you, by giving you this gift. Best of luck to the future, Kian.'

Shane opened the parcel, it was a photo of Shane and Gillian in a rather nice frame, wait a minute, a painting of a photo. Shane turned it over, and read the inscription 'To Shane and Gillian, on their wedding day, may all your dreams come true!'

Shane suddenly felt sorry for Kian, but it was his loss that he refused to remain friends.

That Afternoon.

"&ldots;for you are my everything, and I never need worry, for what mine is yours, and what yours will be mine, for all our lives, together in health and for the times that get rough, we will be able to sail through the storms, and whatever life throws our way, let us fight the bad, and celebrate the good, in every day we spend together!" Shane said, facing Gillian.

"Shane, you are all I'll ever need, your love will shelter me from harm, protect me from the rain, and warm me when I'm cold. You'll be my sun, moon, and the stars all rolled into one. I give you the whole of my heart to you, and hope that at the end of our days on earth, we're together and still loving each other as we are today!" Gillian said, facing Shane.

"You may now kiss your Bride Shane"

As Shane and Gillian walked out the church, on that afternoon, the sun was out, and the whole area was awash with colour. He could see her family talking with his family, and Mr and Mrs Egan standing there, feeling out of place, and he saw Nicky and Eilidh talking with Mark, and he saw Bryan with his wife trying to catch their daughters who were running about. There was the odd photographer, but at that moment in time, he wasn't bothered about them.
