"What are you doing here?" I whispered, realising who it was.
"I couldn’t sleep, so I thought I’d see what was happening outside, I saw you down here, so I thought I’d come down and annoy ya." Nicky said, still with his arms around my middle.
"Annoy me, you could never annoy me."
"It’s a nice night, so peaceful and beautiful"
"Yeah, well, it is midnight, when people are usually tucked up in bed, dreaming of happy things&ldots;"
"I would, but I think reality is more exciting than dreaming at the moment&ldots;"
"Yeah, I’d have to agree with you, but it really depends on what you dreaming about!!"
"I hope I didn’t keep you awake last night,"
"Nope, it was alright, I’m glad you finally settled&ldots;"
"Yeah, I just forgot about it all, and finally thought of something happy, or someone who was nearby, and fell asleep"
"Glad to be of help,"
"Yeah, and it was so nice to wake up during the night, and see you there, it was like a dream, but only real."
"I know that feeling!"
"When I got back to the hotel, they were all constantly asking where I was, who was I with? All except Mark, who wasn’t asking any questions, all he said, ‘Glad to see ya, hope you’re feeling better today&ldots;’ I’ve no idea why he said that?"
"I think Mark knew where you were, and he told me this evening that he knew, but he kept quiet, so I wouldn’t be found out&ldots;"
"He’s such a caring person, the last time we were here, you know the first time I met you&ldots;Mark was the only one I could confide in, all the feelings that I had felt when I was with you. I couldn’t tell anyone else in case it got back to Georgina&ldots;"
"Yeah, he is, yesterday when you were singing, he came over to see if I was okay,"
"He didn’t tell me that,"
"Yeah, he told me that you were very quiet when I was singing, he said, and I quote ‘obviously he was taking it in, note by note, word by word, line by line, verse by verse!’ "
"Really? I was in a way, but I was just remembering those ‘titanic’ moments we’ve had&ldots;"
"Yeah, who knows, this could count as a titanic moment?"
We both laughed&ldots;all I could do was hug him, it felt so right, but I knew it was so wrong&ldots;then the hug somehow moved into a kiss, and then it felt magical, it seemed that the stars were much brighter&ldots;
"I wish this night wouldn’t end.." Nicky said, after a while&ldots;We were sitting on the side of the pool.
"True, I was just thinking that too&ldots;" I said, giggling as Nicky started tickling me&ldots;until I fell back into the pool, pulling him in with me&ldots;
He came up spluttering&ldots;
"What did ya do that for?"
"You were tickling me, and I slipped&ldots;"
"likely story&ldots;" Nicky said, starting to tickle me some more&ldots;
